The anchors are devices whose function is to fix the pretension tendons, in onder to keep them in a state of tension, causing the protension force to be transmitted to the concrete. That is, the anchors have the role of preventing that once tensioned the string returns to its original state, in this case, without tension.
Type B and type MF anchors work with the stress state in the chord, throght the prestressed jack. U shaped anchors work embedded in the concrete so as to secure the end of the opposing chord, making the protrusion performed on the active anchorage only receive the stress. The adhesion of the reinforcing bars and the compression tension between anchorage and concrete generates the transference of the protension force to the concrete.
In order to offer a range of small tendons with flat anchors especially adapted to post-tensiong of buildings or
thin elemnts (slabs, floors). This system is particularly adapted to the applications with threading of the st
rand after concreting.
Type B anchorage consists of wedge plate with tempered bores, wedges, plates and trumpets.
Previously the plate and trumpet are positioned in the structure, being the only components of the anchorag (with the ducts) added before of the concrete.
Used in the construction of elevated slabs, raft foundation, slabs on grade, warehouses, distribution centers,
container terminals, airports, pavements, residential slabs and recreational slabs. For tennis courtsand skating rings are common applications.
